Hilary Duff heads to her car after a day out and about on Saturday (May 28) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 23-year-old actress recently opened up about her past, and discussed her hopes for the future.

“People aren’t just actors, singers or whatever these days,” Hilary told the Miami Herald. “I like being a brand.”

“For a long time, I worried about my reputation and how people perceived me,” Hilary said. “One thing I did when I was younger was not concern myself with the project I was picking. I was just having fun.”

Hil added, “With all of it, I’m taking my time more, these days, trying to make the best decisions possible.”

Stepping out for a fun-filled afternoon, Hilary Duff was spotted at the SoBe “Try Everything” challenge in New York City today (May 25).

The “So Yesterday” songstress looked cute and casual in a white top and blue trousers as she participated in one of the physical activities.

SoBe honcho Andrew Katz told press, “We think [the Try Everything campaign] distinguishes us with consumers and in the beverage category while pushing the brand more deeply into the social consciousness. After just returning to LA from a little Hawaiian getaway with her hockey player hubby Mike Comrie, Hilary Duff was seen getting ready to depart LAX on Tuesday afternoon.

The 23-year-old was looking comfy and casual in a purple tee with a gray long-sleeved shirt underneath, as well as a scarf and leggings.

Hilary tweeted that she is jetting off the the east coast (NYC, specficially) and said:

Ok folks unpack/repack! Hawaii(unbelievably fun)…off to NY tomorrow for cool sobe event on wed. Swing by and say hi! @sobeworld for info!

Hilary Duff is becoming quite the author. Joining the literary ranks of novelists like Lauren Conrad and Snooki, the former Disney Channel star, who already wrote last year’s bestselling YA novel Elixir, has penned a follow-up set to come out October 11. Titled Devoted, it continues the story of rich, famous, jet-setting Duff surrogate Clea Raymond as she uncovers mysterious, supernatural goings-on.

LOS ANGELES, Calif.

Newlyweds Hilary Duff and a pro hockey player Mike Comrie aren’t in a rush to become parents.

“We talk about it. Yes, we’re excited to do that, but I want to work a little bit more,” the 23-year-old star told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Monday’s Access Hollywood Live about waiting to have children.

“I’m tossing around the idea of making another record and obviously that wouldn’t be very good timing,” the former “Lizzie McGuire” star continued. “We want it, we’re excited for it, but I think it can wait just a little while longer.”

The actress, who stopped by to chat about her new movie, “Bloodworth,” which finds her playing a very grown-up role, alongside Val Kilmer, said her husband is completely behind her decision to wait.

“He’s supportive of me, he knows that I’m still young and if I want to work more, he’s totally supportive of that,” she added.

In January, Hilary shot down rumors that she was pregnant after speculation that she was expecting surfaced in numerous tabloids.

Hilary and Mike tied the knot in August in a private ceremony in Santa Barbara, Calif.

The couple first met in 2007 at a resort in Idaho. Mike proposed to Hilary in Hawaii in February 2010.

It was date night for Hilary Duff and hubby Mike Comrie as they attended the Southern Style St Bernard Project event in Beverly Hills on Wednesday (May 11).

The couple was on hand to lend some support to victims of Hurricane Katrina at the star-studded, Britney Spears-hosted event.

Meanwhile, Hilary will soon be on the promotional trail as she pimps out her new movie, She Wants Me. DIrected and written by Rob Margolies, upcoming comedy tells the tale of a neurotic writer working on his new film who gets into a tricky situation when an A-list actress shows interest in the role intended for his girlfriend. Hollywood bad boy Charlie Sheen costars.
