Getting charitable over the weekend, Hilary Duff was all smiles as she stepped out for a fundraising event in Santa Monica, CA on Saturday (December 10).

Clad in a colorful yellow top, the expecting “Cheaper By the Dozen” star joined a group of young children at the local ice rink during the “Danskin: Move For Change” festivities.

Also receiving a $10,000 check for her Blessings In a Backpack charity initiative, Duff tweeted prior to the appearance,

“Heading to ICE in Santa Monica for danskin move for a change initiative! Cant wait to see all the cute little kids ice skating ”

Having just returned to the States following a trip to Canada, Hilary wrote last night,

“Went to Toronto the other day and watched the whole last season of shameless on the plane!best show!full on obsession! anyone?anyone?”

Enjoying some time in the Big Apple, Hilary Duff was spotted at ABC Studios in Times Square this morning (October 10).

The preggers “Foodfight!” actress was all smiles as she arrived for her interview on “Good Morning America” to promote her new book “Devoted.”

Hilary took to her official Twitter page last night to announce her arrival in NYC and the release of her book this week.

She tweeted, “very excited for my 2nd book ‘devoted’ to come out oct11th! Just got to NY for my week of press. I will be on GMA tomorrow! Don’t forget .”

Hilary is going to appear to a few more shows to promote her new book. As far as we know she’ll be:

Tweeting about the day’s promotional plans, Miss Duff wrote, “Heading to the book fair biennal. Press for a few hours then going to sign books and meet some fans! It’s all very exciting folks xxo H”

The 23-year-old arrived at the Riocentro Book Biennial a short while later, as planned, where she joyously launched her first novel titled “Elixir”.

Getting quite the warm reception at the literature based event, Hilary tweeted upon finishing up her launch efforts, “Oh my goodness! Wow I am in shock! Thank you so much for all of this love! Rio fans are amazing, makes me want to cry!!! “

Hilary Duff and her big sister Haylie smile wide at the Los Angeles Mission’s 75th annual end of the summer block party on Saturday (August 27) in Los Angeles.

The 23-year-old pregnant actress and her older sis attended the charity event with the Los Angeles Mission to help aid the homeless living on the streets.

“Excited to head downtown to the la mission event today with @HaylieK such a great cause! We will be handing out backpacks w/ school supplies!” Hil tweeted before the event.

Later that day, Haylie and Hil, who shed her red Los Angeles Mission apron for a sheer top, went shopping together!

It’s true! Our beautiful girl will soon turn from Lizzie McGuire schoolgirl to a lovely mommy!
